UPDATE 2:38 p.m. - Fire officials say both people rescued from a house fire Wednesday morning have died.
A 21-year-old man and 24-year-old woman died from their injuries after they were taken to the hospital:
- Brenda Martinez-Palma
- Bibiano Pacheco-Perez
The Omaha Fire Department says a eight other people, ages 20 months, 3, 7, 10, 11, 13, 23 and 36, were home at the time when the fire started.
UPDATE 8:45 a.m. - Fire officials say one of the victims taken to the hospital after a fire Wednesday morning has died.
Two people were rescued from the basement of the home, but an adult woman did not survive. The woman's name has not been released.
The American Red Cross is helping six children and two adults who were left without a home.

OMAHA, Nebraska- Firefighters are determining the cause of a tragic fire in south Omaha.
911 dispatchers tell Action 3 News one person is reportedly dead and another is in critical condition.
It happened around 4:45 on Wednesday morning near 28th and Vinton.
