A Pennsylvania man is in the Douglas County Jail after being caught hauling marijuana on Interstate 80 in Omaha.
A Douglas County deputy stopped 20 year old Ehab Azez of Erie, Pennsylvania on eastbound I-80 near L street for a traffic infraction around midnight. The deputy became suspicious and Azez offered his consent to search the vehicle. The deputy found three large suitcases containing 48 bags of marijuana sealed inside four larger bags. The seized pot weighed nearly 54 pounds.
Azez was booked into the Douglas County Jail on drug trafficking charges.
