OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — On Tuesday, former metro meteorologist Ronald Penzkowski, aka Ron Gerard, was sentenced for charges, connected to threats made against Douglas County Health Director Dr. Adi Pour regarding the handling of the coronavirus outbreak.

For two counts of misdemeanor third-degree assault, Penzkowski's lawyer, Steve Lefler, said the former weatherman was sentenced to two years of probation.

Leading up to today, Penzkowski sought counseling and faced several evaluations that were presented to the court.

Penzkowski was jailed in March for making the threats and pleaded no contest to the charges in September.
