Officials with Field Club Elementary School has sent emails to parents about some suspicious activity involving clowns and it's been happening near their school grounds.
FULL STATEMENT
Dear Field Club Parents:
We wanted to make you aware of a situation that happened yesterday after school. A group of students was walking home from school at approximately 4:30 p.m. and was approached by an individual(s) dressed as clowns.
A student reported the incident to the principal this morning.
The incident was immediately reported to Omaha Police Department.
After further investigation the Omaha Police Department determined that the incident was be an inappropriate prank/hoax with the intent to scare children.
There is no information indicating the children were directed or enticed to come towards the vehicle. For additional information, feel free to read the official Omaha Police Department release here.
