Bellevue Fire crews battled an apartment building fire at Ft. Crook & Harvell in Bellevue on Tuesday afternoon.
The fire broke out before 4:10 p.m. at the Gateway Park Apartments.
Residents have been ordered to evacuated from the apartments.
Omaha and Papillion fire crews assisted with Bellevue FD with battling the fire.
At least 2 people taken to hospital in connection with the fire.
Officer on scene at Bellevue fire tells KMTV that a firefighter was transported with with heat exhaustion and with back injuries and another person went due to smoke inhalation.
Part of the apartment's roof collapsed but nobody was trapped inside the building.
Officials say about 14-16 units were completely destroyed. The building will now have to be demolished and rebuilt.
Fire crews say they are keeping a fire truck on scene as a precaution but added rekindling fires are not a concern at this time.
Nebraska Humane Society is on the scene assisting with the animals.
