Frozen precipitation begins to hit the Metro

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — If you haven't had a chance to step outside recently, frozen precipitation is beginning to hit the Metro. Schools and other organizations are already canceling evening activities or are dismissing early. Tonight's holiday kickoff in the Old Market has also been canceled.

These are the current closings:

  • Boyer Valley Schools - No after-school activities
  • Charter Oak Iowa - Closing at 1230PM
  • Fremont Public - No Evening Activities
  • Iowa School for the Deaf - Canceled Wednesday
  • Lyons Decatur NE - Close at NOON
  • Midland University - Close at NOON
  • North Bend Central Public - 1:30 early dismissal
  • Omaha Public Schools - No Evening Activities
  • Westside Church - Close at 5pm
  • Holidays in the Old Market - Canceled although the lights will still be on.
