Goodwill has announced the nonprofit has hired a new CEO.
After a four-month search, Dr. Mike McGinnis has been selected to be the chief executive officer of Goodwill Industries, serving eastern Nebraska and southwest Iowa. McGinnis will officially take the helm Oct. 16, according to a release from Goodwill.
McGinnis has been the executive director at the Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum in Ashland since January 2014, and has also served as executive director of Peter Kiewit Institute in Omaha, according to the release.
Pauli Bishop, a 10-year veteran with the company, stepped in as the interim CEO in October 2016 following an Omaha World-Herald investigation into the salaries of Goodwill executives.
