Friday marks the first day of going out of business sales at four area Gordmans stores.
The stores will eventually close as part of the company's bankruptcy filed last month.
Papers with the state say that will happen by May 12th.
The locations closing are Lakeside Hills Plaza, Papillion, Bellevue and Evans Plaza.
Court papers show the Texas based retailer stage stores will pay $76 million dollars for the stores and plan to keep some of the stores open including the Council Bluffs store.
The Omaha World-Heraldreported that the Lake Manawa Center location in Council Bluffs will be the only Omaha metro location to stay open.
