Omaha school officials say a gun was discovered outside an elementary school Monday afternoon.
OPS spokesperson Monique Farmer tells KMTV that a grandparent found the gun outside Howard Kennedy Elementary near 30th & Binney shortly after school dismissed for the day. The grandparent brought the gun to the school and alerted the principal, Omaha Police then came to the school and took possession of the gun.
No students were ever in any danger.
