OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Due to flooding along the Missouri River, sections of Interstate 29 are closed. This includes one section near Pacific Junction that stretches all the way to the Missouri border.
Due to flooding, as of 11 a.m. (5-29-2019) we'll be closing I-29 in both directions from U.S. 34 to the Missouri border. The current detour is U.S. 71 from Missouri to I-80 in Iowa. Please watch https://t.co/eIAyugfTOP as that detour route may change as conditions change. pic.twitter.com/AhkZ1hRUIC

Highway 34 on the Iowa side shouldn’t have a river going over it. Never drive through standing water on the roadway regardless of how deep you think it is. Water levels can change very quickly with little notice. #dryweatherplease #drivesafe #nspomaha pic.twitter.com/sMNXfA0hgN
