Posted
Douglas County Sheriff's Deputies made a big marijuana bust Wednesday night.

Deputies stopped a vehicle on eastbound Interstate 80 near 60th Street in Omaha for speeding just after 7:30 p.m.. During the stop, the deputy became suspicious and had his K9 walk around the vehicle. The K9 then signaled that there were drugs inside the vehicle. Deputies found three large rubber totes in the back seat which contained 221 pounds of marijuana packaged in bricks.

Deputes arrested the driver, 26 year old Rupert Prout of Las Vegas, and 22 year old Luis Casillas of Las Cruces, New Mexico for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver. Deputies say the two were taking the pot to Minnesota.
