We have a happy update from an Omaha veteran who went to Australia to get a medical treatment not yet cleared by the FDA.
Justin Anderson says doctors call his surgery this week a success.

Anderson lost the lower part of his left leg after complications from injuries he suffered while serving in iraq.
He’s now the first iraqi war veteran to get have surgery involving an implant inserted into his femur.
Anderson plans to post updates as he leaves the hospital and goes through physiotherapy.
