The judge presiding over the murder trial of Anthony Garcia has stepped down.
Judge Duane Dougherty has recused himself from the case because of medical issues. Prosecutors say Judge Gary Randall will take over.
In January, Dougherty ruled that Garcia was competent to stand trial.
