LA VISTA, Neb. (KMTV) -- — La Vista needs your help to identify who they are.

The city is asking residents and people working in La Vista to go to LaVista's website and take a survey to help with branding of the city. They want to know what makes the city unique whether it's the good or the bad.

Recently, there's been a lot of new construction and redevelopment across the area with Southport, and the City Centre.

“We're known as a progressive, well run city and a community that is doing well we just don't have that consistent message because we don't have a handle on what sets us apart," said Mitch Beaumont, Community Relations Coordinator for La Vista.

One of the things they've heard is that they aren't set apart from Papillion.

“We love La Vista just because it promotes family life. my husband and I picked our house in this area before we were expecting any kids knowing it was a safe place, great community, lots of fun events," said Kayla Schulte, a La Vista Resident.

The LaVistaBrand.com website will be open for surveys until June 23. They want all residents to respond but are also are looking for input from younger and newer families to the area.
