LINCOLN, Neb. (KMTV) -- — The Nebraska Liquor Control Commission heard about another fight from Sept. 2019 outside the Reign Ultra Lounge near North 30th St. and the Mormon Bridge.

This time it was about an altercation that started at the bar leading to a fight that spilled onto North 30th and was followed by shots being fired. Reign has had 6 Tavern Reports for fights, stabbings and even a 2018 murder.

It comes just a month before the owner will have to present why he deserves a new liquor license to the LCC.

Owner James Overton says he may change the way they work, even possibly having nights where only people over 30 years old are allowed.

"I'm doing everything I can to mitigate these issues. But yes, if business model changes need to be made in order to actually keep the establishment open, I'm willing to do whatever it takes, whatever we come up with," Overton explained.

Reign Lounge will be back in front of the NE Liquor Control Commission at their next hearing in April for their long form liquor license application. The Omaha City Council has recommended a denial.
