A driver's mistake creates a major construction delay. TheLincoln Public Works andUtilitiesDepartmentsent out these pictures of the mess left behind. A driver apparently went behind a traffic control barrel Wednesday and ended up in fresh concrete. Crews shut down traffic in the area to pull the car out. The contractor will have to relay the concrete which will delay the project by three to four days.
The damage cost is estimated at more than ten-thousand dollars. Lincoln officials say the driver will be responsible for those costs.
