OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — On Friday, Omaha Mayor Jean Stothert and FCC Environmental held a news conference to provide updates about the transition to FCC collection services on Nov. 30.
At this time, more than 300,000 of the new carts have been delivered and the rest should be before the transition to FCC's takeover on Monday, Nov. 30 Stothert said.
For those who may have trouble with the 96-gallon carts, smaller 48-gallon versions can be requested 90 days after the launch date.
Officials from FCC say they are well-prepared in regards to staffing but some positions remain open at this time.
The company also demonstrated the automated system with both styles of trucks they will use.
