Bring on the madness, local businesses near the CenturyLink Center are gearing up for a busy weekend as fans from across the country come to Omaha to watch the women's volleyball Final Four.
Downtown Omaha is bustling with coaches, players and fans wanting to watch their teams play. But local shops are also excited for the new faces in town.
"Bulk up and prepare for the craziness," said DJ's Dugout General Manager Vicki Rush. "You just want to make sure goes as smooth and as comfortable as it can be for everyone, staff and people who walk through the door."
DJ's Dugout is only a block away from the CenturyLink Center, The Mattress Factory is across the street from the arena and they are excited for the rush of fans, especially since many of the volleyball teams are so close to Omaha.
"You never anticipate the hype that comes with it and with all the coaches that are in town getting ready for it to, it's just out of this world," said The Mattress Factory manager Cyndi Murphy.
While it may be a crazy weekend, these businesses are welcoming the fans with open arms, especially with the home team in town.
"Having the Huskers in it--you can't ask for a better tournament," said Murphy.
"To have Nebraska play across the street and see the locals come out support a Nebraska team--it's going to be really exciting," said Rush.
The Final Four matches are all sold out, however there are standing room only tickets, first come first serve at 10a.m. at the CenturyLink Center.
