Get those running shoes and start running for a good cause.
The Madonna Rehabilitation Hospitals Omaha Campus will be hosting their inaugural event, "Miles for Madonna 5K Run/1-Mile Walk" on Saturday, October 1st.
The event will start at 8:00 a.m. at their Omaha Campus located at 17500 Burke Street.
Samantha Rohda, an official with the Madonna Foundation spoke to KMTV's Deanne Brink about the new campus.
Rohda told Brink that their new campus is opening soon and this event will be a great way to learn more about Madonna’s world-class rehabilitation at their new location at Village Pointe.
The race course starts and ends at the Omaha Campus and winds through Village Pointe Shopping Center.
Madonna officials say that runners, walkers and strollers are welcome.
Officials want to remind the public that no pets are allowed.
Prizes will be awarded to top male and female finishers in the age categories of 19 and over and under 19.
