Man accused of October double murder extradited

A man arrested in Arizona for an Omaha double murder has been booked into jail in Douglas County.

The Omaha Police Department says the Metro Fugitive Task Force brought Michael Nolt, 53, back to Omaha to face charges for the murders of Malquan King and Arelius Hassell.

King and Hassell were killed in a shooting on Saturday, Oct. 10 that left a third person, Tommynique Valentine, injured. 

He faces two counts of first-degree murder, one count of attempted first-degree murder, three counts of use of a firearm to commit a felony and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.

Nolt has been held at the Maricopa County Jail since he was arrested in Mesa, Arizona, on Oct. 13.
