The man who fired the shot that killed 5-year-old Payton Benson nearly two years ago is accused in another murder.
Vincent Hicks is currently serving time for his role in Benson's murder.
The Omaha Police Department announced today that homicide detectives have obtained an arrest warrant for first degree murder and use of a firearm in the death of Tristan Harper. Investigators believe Hicks killed Harper on December 27, 2013 which was just weeks before Benson's murder.
Harper was found dead inside a home near 48th and Maple.
The Omaha Police Department says arrangements will have to be made to have Hicks brought back to Douglas County to face charges in Harper's murder. He's currently incarcerated at the Nebraska Department of Corrections.
