Marvin Young, the longtime boyfriend of missing woman Camisha Hollis, had his bond set at $500,000 for three counts of child abuse and one count of resisting arrest.

Prosecutors say Young gave the couple's three children a sleep aid Sunday night and the oldest child told police before the aid kicked in she saw Young hit her mother with a boot and Hollis' blood and two spent shell casings were found at the home.

Hollis' mother left the courtroom Thursday believing Young killed her daughter. There are no charges for him relating to Camisha's disappearance.

Young's attorney, a public defender, says his client is on disability for kidney and mental health issues.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for May 7.
