Omaha Police say the motorcycle rider killed in a Wednesday morning crash is Jed E. Workman, 27.
Investigators say he ran a stop light near 78th and Dodge, crashed into a SUV, and died at the scene.
The passenger of the motorcycle, Rachel C. Macchietto is being treated for head and neck injuries, which are life threatening.
The driver of the SUV has serious injuries and are not considered life threatening.
Dodge Street was shut down in the area for a few hours as police investigated, it is now back open.
Workman turned 27 the day before the crash.
