GRETNA, Neb. (KMTV) — According to the Sarpy County Sheriff's Office, a motorcyclist collided with a semi on an I-80 exit near Highway 31 outside of Gretna on Monday night.
The sheriff's office responded to the scene around 7:49 p.m.
Investigation indicates that a motorcycle driven by a 27-year-old Omaha man exited onto Hwy 31 from the eastbound entrance ramp to I-80.
Traveling northbound, the motorcyclist ran a red light and struck a Volvo semi-truck that was attempting to turn south onto Hwy 31.
The motorcyclist sustained injuries to his legs and arms and was transported to a trauma center by a Lifeflight medical helicopter. Additionally, the semi driver was injured.
Investigation into the crash is ongoing.
