OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Nebraska State Patrol took to social media on Saturday afternoon to assure Nebraskans that rumors of violent protesters were indeed rumors.
"There’s a social media post going around claiming to be an alert about potentially violent protests in several Nebraska communities. The NSP and Nebraska National Guard want the public to be assured that this message was NOT authored by either entity."
They said there was no evidence to support the claims of violent protests being planned, and that all planned protests they were aware of were peaceful.
