Council Bluffs Police Officer Jason Burleigh, 30, will not faces charges for shooting 28-year-old Clifton Wade on Tuesday.

"The conclusion of my review is simple," Pottawattamie County attorney Matt Wilber said, "there will be no charges filed against officer Burleigh for discharging his service weapon on May 1, 2018."

Burleigh has been on the force for five years.

There is still an active criminal investigation involving Wade, who was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault of a police officer and felony eluding.
