OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — A North Omaha program that works to help boys stay in school is breaking ground on a new $6 million, 18,000 square foot expansion.
City and school leaders will be there when Northstar Foundation adds a high school wing to its facility near 49th Avenue and Ames.
The new building will be home to a STEM innovation hub and a two-story dining hall.
Mayor Jean Stothert, Councilmen Pete Festersen and Ben Gray, and OPS Board President Marque Snow will join Northstar students, parents, board members, and staff for the groundbreaking.
