Four Omaha family members are killed and another family member is critically injured after they were involved in a crash in Central Utah on Thursday morning.
Utah Highway Patrol officials told our Salt Lake City affiliate, KUTV that the passengers were traveling from Omaha.
Officials say that a Chevrolet Avalanche pickup with Nebraska plates was traveling eastbound on Interstate 70 at around 9 a.m. Utah time when the crash occurred.
Officials added that the vehicle rolled over and all five passengers were ejected.
The family that were inside the vehicle included 46-year-old Juan Flores, 55-year-old Teresa Lopez, 19-year-old Carla Flores 18-year-old Naila Flores and 10-month-old Alexander Flores.
Flores is the only survivor of the crash at this time.
She is currently at a hospital in Utah and is in critical condition.
Officials tell KUTV that they believe that fatigue may have been a factor in the crash and added that no one was wearing a seat belt. The baby was not in a car seat according to investigators.
The father of the 10-month-old told KMTV that the family was traveling back from their trip to California at the time of the crash.
