OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) - Omaha is famous for steaks. On Wednesday, you could call some of those steaks a sign of the season.

The Omaha Firefighters Union put on its first steak fry of the year on Wednesday.

The traditional meal at the union hall near 60th and Grover raises money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

The cost is $12 per plate, which includes steak, a baked potato, salad and bread. It's something the organization has been doing for years.

They had the steak fry earlier but if you missed it, another one is going on until 7 p.m.
