OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Mayor Jean Stothert's Office says she has accepted the resignation of Omaha's Human Resources Director Tim Young.

Stothert's Office says Young cited his reason for leaving as "personal reasons."

"We understand and support his decision to step down and we are grateful for his service. We wish Tim and his family the very best," says Mayor Stothert.

Young worked as the Labor Relations Director in 2015 and became the Human Resources Director in 2017.

Stothert's Office says retired Deputy City Attorney Jo Cavel will return as the acting Human Resources Director during a search for Young's replacement.
