Omaha man sentenced for possession, intent to distribute methamphetamine

LINCOLN, Neb. (KMTV) - Carl Anthony Mangiameli, 52, was sentencted to 18 years, four months in prison for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine by acting U.S. Attorney Robert Stuart. 

On August 28, 2015, Lincoln Narcotics Officers found Mangiameli with 53 grams of methamphetamine and more than $2000 at a truck stop. 

Mangiameli admitted to being there to collect money from a customer and said he had been selling methamphetamine since 1999. 

He was deemed a career offender for two previous drug-related convictions in Pottawattamie County and a third in Nebraska. 

Following his sentence, Mangiameli will serve five years of supervised release.
