Omaha police helped get five people out of a burning home on Sunday morning, according to officials.

Two police rookies and two supervisors assisted in getting five people out of the burning house. One of the people in the home was wheelchair bound. They also managed to get a dog out.
One officer was taken to the hospital.
The fire started at a home near 30th and Martin. Crews were dispatched just after 9 a.m. to the 7200 block of N 30th Street.

Fire officials say the house suffered extensive damage.
