OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Omaha Steaks announced Wednesday that Chairman and CEO Bruce Simon suddenly passed away from natural causes.
Todd Simon, Bruce's cousin and fifth-generation family owner, will immediately take on the roles of Chairman and CEO.
Nate Rempe will continue in his roles as President and COO.
"Bruce and Todd worked together for more than three decades, and together with the executive leadership team, Todd will carry Bruce’s legacy forward. This is an incredibly emotional time for Bruce’s family, friends, colleagues and loved ones and all who had the pleasure of being part of his Omaha Steaks family. Our thoughts and prayers are with Bruce’s wife Stacy and daughters Talia and Ellie," said Omaha Steaks in a statement.
