OPD officer under fire for criticizing Black Lives Matter on Facebook

UPDATE: Omaha Police has released this statement:

It was recently brought to the Omaha Police Department's attention that Omaha Police Officer Bryan Kulhanek had posted potentially inappropriate content on his personal facebook page. Officer Kulhanek has been placed on paid administrative leave pending an internal investigation.

The Omaha Police Department is looking into a controversial Facebook post made by one of its officers critical of the Black Lives Matter movement.

The post gaining traction written by Kulhanek said that Black Lives Matter is not a pro black group but rather an anti white police group.

Those sharing the post are asking for a response from Omaha PD. The department has yet to offer a public statement. But on twitter, they said “we are aware... And we are looking into the matter.
