OPD recruits to graduate from training academy

 Fifty three recruits will graduate from the Omaha Police Department’s training academy Friday.

WATCH: The graduation ceremony at 10:30 a.m.

This year’s recruit class has the honor of selecting someone for the inaugural Officer Kerrie S. Orozco “Kerrie-On" Award.

The graduating officers will move on to spend 15 weeks in field training.
