OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — One of the newest members of the Omaha Police Department is already making an impact on area kids.
K-9 Peace is a two-year-old yellow lab and can detect more than more than 19,000 types of explosives, firearms, shell casings, and live ammo. She also joins her partner, officer Dan Torres, on visits to area schools.
Here’s some more thank you’s from the Montclair Elementary 2nd Graders. I appreciate the compliments on my “tricks” and Ofc. Torres appreciates the various shapes he takes. #OPD via @OPDK9Peace pic.twitter.com/b9R3BDc9D3
