Pedestrian killed after being struck by at least two vehicles

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — One person is dead following a pedestrian vs. vehicle accident that occurred Thursday night.

Around 9:18 pm, officers were dispatched to US 75 North, just south of the Cuming St. exit ramp for a personal injury crash involving a pedestrian and two vehicles.

The investigation revealed a pedestrian was attempting to cross from east to west on US 75 North, just south of the Cuming St, exit ramp, when the pedestrian was struck by a northbound 2011 Mazda 3 and then a northbound 2009 Chevrolet Impala. Witness statements suggest a possible third vehicle was involved and left the scene.

The pedestrian, Andrew Woodard, 29, of Omaha, was pronounced dead at the scene by Omaha Fire Department medics.

The driver of the Mazda was identified as Kayley Haase, 20, of Omaha. She sustained no injuries.

The driver of the Chevrolet was identified as Maker Puok, 36, of Omaha. He sustained no injuries.
