OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Many people got outside to enjoy one of the nicest Mondays we’ve had, with highs reaching into the 80s.

"I'm happy to be out here, it’s a great day out,” Nick Headlee said. “All of this stuff going on right now and everything is so crazy, it's nice to find some peace in something as easy as kayaking on a lake with some friends."

We asked people at Zorinsky Lake about what’s good?

"For a second there, nature was kind of like snow then 80 degrees,” Emma Stevens said. “I'm kind of happy that it's warm outside and I'm able to ride bikes with my friends and explore more of nature. After being stuck inside for so long it's nice to get out."

"We got to graduate early, two weeks early I think,” Riley Dickerson, Millard North Senior said. “We got to take some good pictures today, on the dock since the lake is open."

Five-year-old Levi said he enjoyed spending time throwing rock into the lake with his family.

"Beautiful day,” Kip Gordman said. “I'm glad we have access to the parks, glad that things are going to start opening up pretty soon, I'm ready for it to happen."

"And it's nice to share a lovely walk with your handsome son," Linda Gordman said.

"Before Christmas my fiancé proposed to me here at that gazebo,” Amanda Schneider said. “And I'm excited to come here for fishing."
