OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Petrow's Restaurant will close its doors on Dec. 14 after serving the Omaha community for nearly seven decades, according to a press release from Michelle Petrow.
Owners Nick and Michelle became third-generation operators of Petrow's in 1992 and have decided to retire from the business.
The family-owned and operated Omaha staple started in midtown as a drive-in in 1950.
Petrow's, located at 5914 Center St, has won various awards throughout the years, including being voted Omaha Magazine's Best Family Restaurant multiple times.
Their meals have been featured on several websites including Food Network.
"The Petrow family is grateful for the privilege of serving their wonderful customers and being a part of an Omaha tradition and wish to thank their many loyal regulars, valuable employees, and members of the community who helped write the story of their local establishment," said Michelle in the press release.
Customers can redeem gift cards by contacting the restaurant at petrowsinfo@gmail.com by December 31, 2019.
