OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) - Police are investigating another crash possibly involving a pedestrian.

It happened in a neighborhood near 84th Avenue and Lakeview Drive and this latest unconfirmed report comes on the heels of a long list of similar crashes.

The trend is concerning for multiple law enforcement agencies.

Just hours before the latest unconfirmed report near 84th Avenue and Lakeview Drive, Omaha police tweeted, writing the last three fatal crashes involved pedestrians.

"That's three too many. Please use caution. We all share the wrote," it further reads.

Even Nebraska State Patrol tweeted out a warning: "Omaha has seen an increase in vehicle [versus] pedestrian crashes. Please be a defensive drive and watch out for pedestrians."

Last week, 3 News Now covered a hit and run near 34th and L streets that turned deadly after a 78-year-old man died from his injuries.

At that scene, Sgt. Doug Kleine said traffic investigators are seeing too many cases.

"There's definitely been an increase in the number of pedestrian-vehicle accidents in the last five to six months," he said.
