Omaha police say charges are pending after a woman was hit by an SUV in northeast Omaha.
The Omaha Police Department says the crash happened around 11 a.m. at the intersection of 30th and State streets.
Investigators say the driver of a 2014 Dodge Durango, 35-year-old Matthew Thomspon, was turning north onto 30th Street from eastbound State Street, when he hit a woman crossing the street.
The woman, identified as 82-year-old Sarah Adams, was using a crosswalk and had the right of way, police said.
According to police, Adams was taken to the hospital in serious condition with injuries that included fractured ribs, a broken hip and a cut on her head.
Police say charges are pending against Thompson.
