Omaha Police have identified the man who they believe stole a car with two infants inside Thursday night.
He's identified as 33 year old Jacob Berney, who is wanted on an unrelated felony attempted theft warrant.
Yatonda Lewis says she was loading groceries into the trunk of her car at the Baker's at 30th and Martin around 8 Thursday night when a man got into it and drove away with her 8-month-old daughters, Alexandra and Sophia still inside. Police issued an Amber Alert for the girls, who were found unharmed in the area of 33rd and Hartman Avenue around 10 p.m.
For over an hour family and friends worried about the whereabouts of the two little girls holding prayer circles until they received the good news just before 10p.m.
Anyone with information about where Berney is should call 911.
