Police investigating homicide of 23-year-old man

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — A 23-year-old man is dead following a shooting that occurred on Monday evening.

Around 5:47 p.m. Omaha Police responded to 30th and Sorensen Parkway to investigate a shooting. Before officers arrived on scene, the victim was taken by private vehicle to the Omaha Fire Department station at 36th and Ames Avenue.

OFD medics transported the victim to the Nebraska Medical Center in critical condition. The victim, 23-year-old Kevon Green, died from his injuries at the hospital.

The investigation is ongoing.
