4:50 p.m. - 4 high-profile standoffs in 3 weeks in Omaha metro
4 p.m. - Police and deputies continue to surround the home. A neighbor says it was a calm morning until police cars rushed in.
"I'm in awe. this is a very, very close-knit neighborhood. We have wildlife out here. We never expected to see any crime out here ever. So, very shocked," said Kelli Bedel.

1 p.m. - OPS says Picotte Elementary will dismiss school at 1:15 p.m., as scheduled.
12:51 p.m. - Picotte Elementary on lockout because of nearby police activity.
12:25 p.m. – Residents in the area are advised to stay in their homes.
12:22 p.m. - The Sheriff's Office says a man called 911 saying he had been shot and his girlfriend was being held hostage, but when deputies arrived the man barricaded himself inside. They are still working to determine if anyone is injured.
12:05 p.m. - KMTV’s Kevin Boughton reports from 138th and Lake streets on growing police presence in the area. Firetrucks and an ambulance are also on the scene. Few other details are being released.
Noon - Live report from the scene of police investigation in 140th and Miami area.
11:48 a.m - 140th Street is blocked off from Erskine to Corby streets. Police have staged two blocks from the house.

Multiple law enforcement agencies are investigating a report of a shooting at a northwest Omaha church.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and Omaha Police Department responded to the Convenant Presbyterian Church at 150th and Blondo streets around 10:30 a.m.
Authorities have not confirmed if anyone was injured or if shots were fired.
About 30 minutes later, police began investigating a report of someone barricaded inside a home near 140th and Miami streets.
