Police searching for suspects after four robberies take place

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — UPDATE 10/28/19 - The Omaha Police Department shared these images of their prime suspect:

UPDATE: Police: two arrested in connection to 45-minute crime spree

PREVIOUS STORY:

Four robberies took place in Omaha Sunday night, in a span of 45 minutes. The first taking happening at Kum & Go off of North 72nd Street. Then Family Dollar off of Radial Highway. The third took place at Tobacco Road off of Saddle Creek Road, then at Bucky's off of Center Street.

The Omaha Police Department believes all four are connected. They also say shots were fired at Bucky's but no one was injured during that incident or at the other locations. Police have issued a watch on all convenience stores in Omaha as they continue to search for the suspect.

"The suspect was described as a tall, thin, black male, dark skin in his 20's, wearing a black ski mask with a black hoodie with a gray hood, stone washed jeans and it was reported he was carrying a gun," said Lt. Jennifer Russell of O.P.D.

They also say other suspects may be involved. The car connected to the robbery at Bucky's is described as a blue Hyundai Sonata with Iowa plates, plate number 875 ZPS. If you have any information on the suspects, contact 911 or Omaha Crime Stoppers.

Omaha Police investigate robbery at 6003 Center Street

Omaha Police responded to the Bucky's at 60th and Center Street at 7:37 p.m. Sunday to investigate a report of a robbery and shots fired. Officers arrived and spoke with an employee who said a black male entered the business and showed a handgun. The suspect demanded money from the register and then the safe. The suspect discharged the firearm two different times during the robbery and then took a wallet from a customer before leaving the business. The suspect possibly left in a dark blue sedan.

Omaha Police investigate robbery at 1414 South Saddle Creek Road

Omaha Police responded to Tobacco Road Discounts at 1414 South Saddle Creek Road at 7:36 p.m. Sunday to investigate a report of a robbery and shots fired. Officers spoke with an employee who said a black male, approximately 6 feet 1 inch tall wearing a red sweater with stripes and gray sweatpants entered the store. Upon entering, the suspect pulled a ski mask over his face, showed a handgun and demanded money. The suspect was given money from the register, and then demanded more money from the safe. The suspect discharged the firearm and continued to demand more money. After receipt of additional cash the suspect fled the business and fired the gun as he left.

Omaha Police responded to the Family Dollar at 1516 Northwest Radial Highway at 7:13 p.m. Sunday to investigate a report of a robbery. Officers spoke with an employee who said a black male in his 20s entered the store, showed a handgun, demanded money and threatened to shoot. The suspect took cash from the register and fled on foot.

Omaha Police investigate robbery at 1819 North 72nd Street

Omaha Police responded to Kum & Go at 1819 North 72nd Street at 6:57 p.m. Sunday to investigate a report of a robbery. Officers were told that a black male in his 20s wearing a black shirt, black hat and gray pants entered the store, showed a handgun and demanded money. The suspect took cash and cigarettes and fled to the south.
