As the Omaha metro bakes in this heat wave, a popular water park is being forced to shut down for a week.

The Papio Bay Aquatic Center will close Monday for maintenance. The pool's water has become cloudy due to chalking from the pool's paint. While there is no health risk to the public, facility managers say they do need to the water to be clear so lifeguards can see to the bottom of the pool.

Today through the weekend, only a limited number of season pass holders, their guests, and Papillion residents will be allowed to swim. Pool hours have also been reduced to Noon to 5 p.m..
