While the Groundhog Day storm produced snowfall in the KMTV viewing area early Tuesday morning, a little bit more is expected in the afternoon and evening.
Snowfall measurements vary across eastern Nebraska and western Iowa.
“It kind of depends, but about half a foot, roughly. Again some of it’s kind of shrinking and compacting as we melt a little bit,” said KMTV Meteorologist Ryan McPike, referring to the Omaha metro.
NWS preliminary local storm reports:

5 inches, near Woodbine in Harrison County
6 inches, Offutt Air Force Base in Sarpy County
