Project Pink'd helped start off the holiday season right for dozens of breast cancer survivors.
Sunday night, the organization provided full Thanksgiving meals for survivors as well as stories of inspiration from other survivors.
After the luncheon, each of the survivors was able to take home a full Thanksgiving meal with all of the trimmings provided by Hy-Vee.
"After the last two years we've done it we're continuously receiving comments and notes of thanks from survivors saying things like 'if you hadn't provided that mean, I was not going to have Thanksgiving for my family this year,'" marketing director Kelly Konen said.
The group originally partnered with Hy-Vee to provide traditional Thanksgiving meals to lessen holiday stress.
