A judge on Friday ordered no bond for Daion Williams, charged with first-degree murder in the death of 21-year-old Kayviaun Nelson on Wednesday.

Omaha Police Homicide Unit arrested Williams, 17, Thursday on suspicion of first-degree murder.

Investigators say they are still looking Marcus Wheeler, 19, in connection with the shooting, on felony warrants for first-degree murder and use of a weapon.

According to prosecutors, before the fatal shooting, Nelson, Williams, and Wheeler got into a fight at a Dollar General store. Nelson reportedly drove away; Williams and Wheeler followed her to Walmart.

Nelson’s father, Charles Nelson, was in court today and stood for Williams’ hearing, saying Kayviaun is the spitting image of him, and he wanted Williams to see the damage he’s done.

Charles Nelson said he plans to obtain full custody of his daughter’s two children and raise them with the help of their fathers.
