Protestors are planning on being present for Donald Trump’s visit on Friday.
“Our plan is to make our voices heard, that there is an alternate dialog, an alternate voice to what Donald Trump is spouting,” said Dale Gutierrez.
He said his group the White Rose Society and hundreds of other people will show up, but they realize the controversial candidate has a history with violence between protesters and Trump supporters at his events.
“We have a strict non violence policy, many of us are trained to de-escalate violent situations so we will work on that to help prevent any violent outbreaks,” he said.
The Trump office in Omaha said they also hope that any protesting stays calm.
“If they come we hope the protest are peaceful, keep everybody safe and keep everything going smoothly and Mr. Trump knows how to handle all that,” said Nick Marcuccio.
Gutierrez said the plan to meet at an intersection just south of the airport, and they will have people monitoring the situation to make sure it doesn't escalate to anything serious and they don't plan on going inside the event.
